Well, Ita was keeping it friends only tonight, so a kiss on the cheek was perfect. "Well, if I baked only for myself, I'd get fat! And since I haven't had any time to hang out with anyone, no cooking for me. Or at least, not a lot of it," she added with another pout.
Giggling at his explanation, she observed, "Guess it was lucky that I walked in then. Saved you from any sort of razzing from your friends," she finished with a wink.
"Ugh, but at culinary school, we got to eat the studying part!" Covering her mouth she laughed at her little joke. Though, it was true. A touch of color reached her cheeks at his last statement, remembering their last surf lesson. She did miss hanging out with him, and perhaps a less intense surf lesson was due. "Not even surfing? How horrible!"
Grinning a sly smile, she asked curiously, "Do you know the guy who goes here named Kin? He's a vampire. Asian." If he did, maybe he could dish to her. She was not above scooping gossip to find out about her love interest.
