Alice let her legs dangle from the bar stool as she continued to survey the club and its occupants. Her eyes lingered for a moment at the strippers in the corner and as they slowly wandered over to catch a couple doing what she thought looked like sex, they quickly shot down to stare at the tips of her toes. She wasn’t really expecting to see something like that going on out in public. In fact, she wasn’t sure on what to expect during her first visit to The Pit. Maybe the next time she decided to stop by, she would stay upstairs where things were a little tamer.
When she heard what sounded like someone that was talking to her, Alice looked up from her feet and spotted the vampire she was waiting for. Her face instantly brightened as a smile played across her lips. “Lily said I needed to take a break from studying, so she dragged me out,” she said with ease and a shrug. That usual shyness was nowhere to be found. Maybe it was the fact that Vivian had been one of the few people to befriend Alice upon her arrival, but she felt strangely comfortable around the older woman. “Since we ended up getting separated, I thought I’d pay you a visit. Since I did promised, like you said.”
“Sure,” she said and flashed another warm smile. Alice usually wasn’t one to indulge in beverages of the alcoholic sort, but she couldn’t deny the offer from the best bartender in The Pit. Hopefully Vivian remembered that she was a light weight though. She didn’t want to end up trying to stumble her way back home alone and all. “How’s work been treating you?”
