Week 19: Wednesday Who Titania ( narrative ) When: Middle afternoon Where: Leaving the school to go to the mall What: Getting herself a roommate!
When telling people she had things to do during her big break before her last class of the day - was a total lie. What was there to do? She usually spent her time on her laptop or bouncing about the bed. Maybe even sitting down and actually doing some homework, instead of waiting till the last minute.
But as of late, Titania has been having trouble sleeping. It was normal for the girl, but it always had this on and off switch. Not that she controlled. When she was able to get sleep, the dreams were nothing but nightmares, and then after that, it was hard to even fall back asleep - thinking she'll slip right back into where her subconscious mind left her. Of course, there were times where she just didn't sleep at all. Did it show? Or did anyone care to notice? Her make-up hid the dark circles underneath her eyes, and her natural hyper personality covered it pretty well.
And as she felt her body slowly start to weigh down and want to fall to the floor to pass out, Titania looked at her watch and figured she had time to get to the mall before the pet shop owner gave up the puppy. There was one other woman who really wanted the dog. Guess good looks and young mind won her over. Or maybe the teenage boy who worked that day had a thing for her. Eh, best not to think about it.. He really wasn't her type.
Hopefully he isn't working today, she thought, rounding the corner in the mall that lead her right toward the yellow sign that clearly yelled "Pet Shop" in bold red lettering. It always caught her attention each and every time she stopped by or walked by. Only this time, she was actually going in and purchases!
And there she was. The cute little black and white chihuahua. Letting Titania know with that squeaky tiny bark and stubby little tail wagging, with the butt shaking too - that she was excited to see the young girl. She was excited as well! The angry woman wasn't in sight, so the dog was ripe for the picking. So to speak.
Titania paid with the cash she only had with her. Good thing she saved up and didn't allow her mother to know she was hiding something like this away from her. She even was able to buy a cute collar to go with the license she is hoping to buy along the rode. But for now, she held the tiny pup close as she made her way out of the mall. Making little cooing sounds while the little tongue went a mile a minute.
"What am I going to call you?" she spoke out loud. Knowing the cab driver looked back at them both.
