Ava watched Caibre, standing absolutely still as she regarded him. The stillness was unnatural and almost inhuman. She didn't blink, didn't breathe, just stood there and regarded him, her eyes shuttered. She didn't want to expose her own nervousness and she was glad that vampires didn't sweat. That would have given away the fear she had for slipping up.
Moving finally when he announced his capitulation, she gave a short nod and looked down at him. He'd given her permission to take from anywhere, but she was feeling oddly demure since their last encounter. The neck it was. There was no need for him to stand if all she was going to do was take from his carotid. She considered him again, sprawled in the chair, and moved between his legs, slowly sinking downwards into his lap.
Her eyes met his for a moment before she moved her mouth to his neck, brushing her lips against his skin, letting her tongue sneak out to taste him before she softly sunk her teeth into his carotid. She drank quickly as the blood flowed fast and she felt the intoxicating warmth rush through her. She shifted herself closer, nuzzling into his neck as she continued.
