The music had changed, but it was no less penetrating than the beats and melodies from before. The steady rythm still blared through what felt like a hundred unseen speakers, but it might as well have been quiet enough to hear a pindrop as focused as Evelyn's attention had been. She gasped at the sudden movement of his hand, partially jumping in his arms. She breathed, but still she didn't pull away.
As his hand slipped down her side, her own hands fell to his shoulders. When his lips brushed her's, he would be able to feel her body's reaction in his arms, almost like she'd been shocked. She turned her face into his cheek, not unlike with the dancer before as he whispered into her ear. "Anywhere," she responded quickly, if barely above a whisper.
She lifted her head a moment, following his gaze as if for a moment she had almost forgotten where they were. The crowd. The people. The noise. It all seemed so impossibly thunderingly loud versus moments before when it had seemed so quiet. A subtle trick of her mind, but enough that she shook her head, clearing her thoughts.
