"I'm half-fae," she explained simply. But part of the reason she stayed so close to him was one part her wish to be and another due to some discomfort with the press of so many people. "It not so much the setting as the crowd that bothers me," she admitted, finding a willingness to share even more so than usual, almost chit-chatty inspite of the setting. "I don't really enjoy being around so many people. They're a little overwhelming. It's..." she searched a moment for the right word. "...disconcerting."
Lyn chuckled lightly as she met his gaze, "If I could live in the wilderness freely, I would. I want to really. It's beautiful. Amazing. I'm as comfortable there as you are in the city." Or so she was guessing. He certainly seemed to be in his element. "My mother was fully fae. She lived in untouched nature for most of her life. Urban environments were completely foreign to her. I think even living within such a distance of the city was a compromise she gave for my father.
"Still," she shrugged, "that doesn't mean I don't like to experience what there is beyond. There's more to the world than what is in the trees and mountains, just like there is more out there than -- " She waves a hand above his head. " -- all of this." The feel of his hands at her back made her relax that much more. "Tingly?" She grinned and then a thought occurred to her, her mouth opened and then closed. "I'm guessing beyond what you're...feeding from...in this club, it's likely the dust. Sorry. It should pass. I'm used to being around people who are fairly resistant." At least this close to her.
