Lyn floated down next to Xander, a smile to him given at the compliment. "I very much doubt that," she said, but she still couldn't stop smiling. It was nice to be appreciated, and in that way. "So you like to dance? I guess I shouldn't be surprised." That would be a little bit of a change, because it was something Evelyn thoroughly enjoyed. It went hand in hand with her infactuation with music. "But most guys don't really like to."
As they drove through the night in the truck, she glanced out the window. The school disappeared behind them and she let the night air wash over them through the open window. It shouldn't be a terribly long ride. "It's not often I get off school grounds...." She knew it was safe there, protected, and warded by their guides. But still, there was something to be said for getting away.
As they neared the city, leaving the school behind, she remembered all the cautions she had been given. The supernaturals were everywhere here, open, and not like being with humans and mainstream society. The rules didn't quite apply here and to them that they did elsewhere. They were free agents. Maybe she should be careful. But she was with another student, surely they would safe.
She glanced at Xander...okay, maybe safe was something she should have considered more thoroughly before.
