"She's absolutely thrilled, from what I've heard. At this point, I'm simply waiting to hear when the date is." He planned to return home then for the ceremony at least, perhaps for longer depending on how things went. Finishing up the degree he'd started was growing more and more tempting to complete. How much more was there truly that Halcyon could teach him? Not much, really. And now there wasn't anything keeping him around, maybe it would be best to go. It was definitely an option he had been weighing heavily as of late. "It was, for a bit. Everyone's come around now." It had taken awhile, of course. His sister had been so young still that it had been easy for her to accept that her baby brother was different. To her, it had even been a rather neat thing. His father had come to terms with things eventually as well, unable to deny that his son and his own father seemed to have something very rare in common. And, finally, Easton's mother had accepted the gifts that he possessed. It hadn't occurred overnight, but they were there now and that was truly all that mattered to him.
The clean up was perhaps the part he liked least. Easton might have been a bit of a neat freak, but dealing with the mess that got him there was not a favorite pass-time, truly. He still would have helped, of course, had he not been too caught up in their conversation, one that showed no signs of slowing down. "I don't know if it snows here, actually. I would assume it's possible. If so, you might be able to ski. I did a bit when we went on holiday....or swimming. Cricket is very popular back home, as is football...not American football, mind you." But no, East was not really the jock type. At all.
