It wasn't a gorgeous day by anyone's standards, but she'd had the photography assignment and she was ready and willing to do it. The heat wasn't nearly as bothersome as the humidity, but humidity was the norm for Jillian where she was from. Or, rather, rain was the norm. The wet grass didn't bother her, save for her slight fall, and she winced as the young man smiled, giving a short wave. At least he wasn't treating her like she was a total nut case. He'd smiled.
"Oh no, nothing broken, though I apparently can't walk without falling down," she joked, a half-smile showing on her flushed face. For a moment she paused and then she lifted the camera again. "I'm, uh...I've got an assignment for my photography class and I need to get some pictures of motion. Do you mind if I take a few pictures of you practicing?" she asked, biting her lower lip before she lowered the camera. If he didn't say yes, she'd have to find someone else, and on such a rainy day it wasn't terribly likely. Maybe she could get Ita to pose for her?
"Oh, I'm Jillian, by the way," she said, stepping up with the intention of offering her hand, but instead slipping in the grass again with a surprised squeak. The heavy camera bag was setting her terribly off balance, or at least that was the excuse she had given herself.
