Xander couldn’t help but laugh when she tried to pull away and got herself a good mouthful of water. Try to outswim the swimmer, there’s a good plan. But he paused as he let himself float a few feet away from her as he blinked his eyes a bit. Okay, so now that he was up and moving, and most likely the cold water, that drink was going straight to his head. He shook his head again, but that sooo did not help.
But, he wasn’t quite to the point where he was losing control of his mind just yet. Not just yet. Soon, but not yet. Instead, he was quite focused on that young woman he had dragged into the water. A slow smile touched his lips as he looked for her. The darkness made it hard to tell where someone was, especially with the breakers going on not so far away. But, then he heard that huff.
He then launched himself in that direction, in a very not subtle way. With how dark it had quickly become, there was no way he was going to see her even underwater, so she just might see or hear him coming at her on the surface. But, one way or the other, Xander was making a grab for Alice. He was going to grab at her and try to pull her back into him.
