"Well I'm glad you like them. I told you I wasn't strange," she said with a little hmph and a pout. Alice didn't think she was at least, but she did have a few strange quirks about her. She sat awkwardly sometimes, she had a strange eating habits, and she even ate and enjoyed a few thing most people would be scared to even try. So maybe she was a just a little bit strange. Strange was good though. At least she wasn't some crazy psycho that would end up stalking Xander every day after tonight.
Alice slowly gulped down the remained of the liquid in her glass while listening to Xander. Most of the ice had completely melted away and now that it didn't taste to bad, she was able to easily drink it. Which was probably a bad idea because as soon as alcohol started not tasting bad to Alice, it usually meant she was begining to feel a little tipsy and if she was feeling a little tipsy, that usually meant she would want to drink more. When it came to drinking with Alice, it was usually a pain trying to get her to actually have one drink, but after a certain point, it ended up being a pain to get her to stop. That was the main reason why she did her best to not drink as often as most people her age.
"I understand what you're saying and I really do appreciate you being honest with me," she said and held out her glass towards him. "Could I have some more please?" She then covered her mouth and let out a soft burp. "Excuse me." Yup, that point of almost no return was slowly creeping up now.
Seeing the excitement on Xander's face at the mention of muffins made the girl smile and laugh. Did he really just clap his hands together too? Too cute! "Maybe. And I hope you like those as well. I made them from scratch," she said while grabbing a small bottle of herb infused olive oil from the cooler to drizzle onto her sandwich. Almost everything was made from scratch - except for the sandwich bread - that she had bought when she went shopping for the other ingredients.
She was glad that she decided on getting the thicker sliced french bread too since a bit of the drippings from the meat had soaked into it. Not enough to make it soggy though at least. Alice actually liked it when the beef was rare enough to add a little pink color to the bread.
