Now that they were finally at the beach and all those bumps were out of the way - as fun as they had been - Alice could take a moment to let it all sink in. It really was a beautiful spot to enjoy the sunset and while she sat there, her mind started to lose focus again. Wow, what a romantic place.... She caught herself before she get too carried away and started to remind herself again that they were just hanging out.
Alice just laughed with him. It might have been dangerous for a girl like Alice to be warming up to a demon, but he seemed like the kind of guy that wouldn't try to force anything upon her. She clearly trusted him enough since they were now at a secluded beach together and would soon be drinking things that usually made people do things they regretted the next day.
After hopping out of the truck, Alice grabbed the other cooler and the basket, slipped her sandals off and carefully made her way down the beach. Half way down, she paused for a moment and surveyed the beach carefully before moving on again. She finally placed the stuff in her hands down onto the sand and smiled. The spot was close to the water, but far away enough so that the blanket wouldn't get wet from any incoming waves. Alice helped Xander out with laying the blanket down and placed a cooler and the basket at the corners closest to her.
"Yeah, I really like hanging out with Shoko as well. I've never worried about her freezing me or anything though." She shrugged again. "Guess she's just more comfortable around me then she is around you," she said teasingly and playfully stuck her tongue out at him with a 'nyah.'
"Must be nice since you don't have to worry about spending too much money at the bar," she said while taking a seat and tucking her skirt tightly underneath her legs. Sure she had a bathing suit underneath it, but she didn't want to go around flashing Xander like she had before. There would probably be more than enough flashing or what have you after she got a good amount of liquor in her anyway. Well, maybe.
