It would only be a couple of minutes after that before they got to the beach site he had picked out. Nice little cover, where two ends of the island came together. “Ooooh, warming up to me. Dangerous you know.” Xander said with a laugh and a shake of his head as he slipped out of the truck. He would pause at the open door to the cab as he grinned at her. “Demon and all.” He winked once before he closed the door to the truck and went to the back to grab one of the ice coolers and the blanket. “Pick out a spot.” He said as he inclined his head toward the beach.
“And yeah, she’ll change on her own pace and time. Everyone does. I just want the girl to be comfortable with herself. She’s fun to hang out with, but she gets so nervous and afraid she’s gonna freeze me all the time.”
At her last words, he laughed a bit and he shook his head. “Well, I used to drink a lot, but then that’s the benefit of playing at bars and clubs, where my band always ended up. Whenever we got a big crowd, manager always gave us free drinks. It was great.” When she did pick out a spot, he would follow her toward it, as he laid out the blanket on the sand.
