"Oh, I totally did that to my first couple of soufflés. I think every cook does that starting off," Ita assured her with a grin.
Ita did have a lot of ideas. They weren't all great, that's for sure, but she did have a lot of them. Creativity was another thing she was good at. If she hadn't become a cook, maybe she would have been an artist. As it was, she treated her cooking like an art. Presentation mattered as much as anything else, and finding the perfect flavors to mix together, that was also art.
Ita took the cake and bit in to it delicately, and then savored it. Whenever she tried something new, she always made sure to savor it, really notice each separate flavor, and enjoy how they melded together. This cake was light and sweet... Heavenly. "This is incredible. You'll have to give me the recipe, seriously."
