Hello everyone! I finally got around to writing this up. I'm very much looking forward to meeting everyone and playing here in your sandbox.
GWYN LOCKSLEY Gwyn is from Princess of Thieves, a very cheesy 2000s movie that aired on the Wonderful World of Disney, as well as my only current character with prior game history. In her film canon, she was practically abandoned by her Father, Robin Hood, to live at a monastery under Friar Tuck's watchful eye while he fought in the Crusades and failed to properly process grief over losing his wife, Marion. Gwyn grew up with a significant amount of resentment towards Robin and it all came to a head when Richard the Lionheart was mortally wounded and Robin had a mission to help transport Richard's son, Philip, to England so he could become King. Long story short, she sneaks out and tries to assist. Along the way, her Father is captured and she fell for Philip under the pseudonym of Conrad. She's very similar to Robin Hood in her demeanor and personality. With her previous game history in mind, she was dropped into Hawaii at the age of fifteen and able to develop a strong relationship with her alternate universe parents as well as to adjust to modern society. She's just turned seventeen, is a Junior in high school and loves basketball. She'll be arriving April 26th.
REY SKYWALKER Rey is coming into the game following the ending of The Rise of Skywalker. I suspect she'll initially feel like she's been hit by a freight train to find she's been pulled away from her remaining friends after losing so many in a short period, but perseverance is a huge aspect of her character. I'm vastly looking forward to interaction with characters from the prior eras and other timelines of her universe. She's going to be incredibly fascinated by you Solo's! I've not got an arrival date for her but it'll be post game start.
My Kingdom for a Finn and Poe.
ELIOT WAUGH This boy is my all time favorite and I've missed him more than words really can express. I played him for four years running in a prior game but opted to not pick him up elsewhere immediately once that game closed. But the time to bring him back into my life is now and I'm likely going to be mildly feral with how active I plan to be with this man. I'm not sorry.
Eliot is coming from mid season five of The Magicians. His last memories of home were being stuck in a time loop, with him having to relive the same twelve hours over and over, until he figures out how to change a specific variable. He was already in the midst of a massive spiral prior to this occurring (he's dealing with grief and a huge amount of PTSD) so the time loop was only making things worse. Add onto all of this the fact he's got a separate person now living inside of his head, as his own personal Jiminy Crickett, and really it's just not a great time to be Eliot Waugh. He'll have arrived March 15th so by now is becoming relatively accustomed to the way things work. He tries to keep the talking to himself (aka the voice in his head) discreet but it's likely he doesn't do the best job ever. Either way, the man isn't owning up to being two people for the price of one because he's too afraid of someone doing something to make him lose his passenger seat non corporal buddy. Eliot will be my social butterfly.
CODE BYCHARLIE WEASLEY I told myself I felt like I'd said everything I needed to say with some of my favorites from Harry Potter, and that I didn't necessarily need to revisit the series, but a year of not playing Charlie after a decade of playing him almost nonstop just sort of...made me eat my words? I missed him so I was actually looking for a spot to play him when Chele and I started talking about this place. Traditionally, my Charlie has a tendency to find his way to sadness and while that's always been interesting to play, I really wanted to give it a try where he wasn't as likely to hit that so soon. Starting him from an earlier canon point than typical seemed key and I'd considered doing something much, much earlier but the end of it was that I love Richard Madden too much to go back too far. So, we're at the start of Deathly Hollows instead of the end of the novel.
Charlie is from just a few days after Bill and Fleur's wedding. He's best friends with Tonks, so he's pretty opinionated at the moment regarding her welfare, but he's biting his tongue since she clearly doesn't know about any of that at the moment (or so he thinks). He'll just be happy he isn't here alone. As far as personality goes, he's someone who thrives by being outdoors and by being active. He cannot handle a stationery lifestyle. He'll be eager to meet folks as he settles into the game. He arrives today.
