Susan swallowed a lump in her throat when he spoke and she moved closer to him. She felt her hand brush across his leg as she realized how close she was and looked up at him. “Let’s go get some drinks,” she said with a smile. She was fair more capable to do the talking when she wasn’t pressed up against someone, not that it hadn’t been fun in its own way. Susan was really not sure how she had managed to end up with Jack this evening, not that she was complain and Jack was rather cute.
She liked how the night was turning out, but she was also curious as to how Megan was doing. “Do you have anywhere you need to be?” Susan asked as she started to walk towards the bar with Jack. She didn’t want to be holding him up from somewhere he might need to be. “Cause if you don’t there is always the potential you could get me out slightly tipsy and actually comfortably dancing on the floor.” Susan laughed but she was entirely serious.
