Who: Alicia, Jack, Stephen (reply order) When: Wednesday, February 20th, 2001. Evening, around 7 pm. Where: Three Broomsticks. Summary: Jack and Alicia celebrate Jack's new job at the brewery. Rating: PG-13 tops, I'm sure. Status: In progress.
Jack left the brewery with a new jump to his step. Not only was he moving in with his best mate, but now he had a new job that he definitely was proud of. It was all a part of his ten-year plan, everything was well under way. He'd promised Alicia that he'd owl her if he got the job, so after apparating home and taking a quick shower, he sent a quick note over to her place. He'd meet her at the Three Broomsticks at 19hr00, and they could celebrate his new job together. He knew that he'd told Stephen that the two would meet to sign papers; so his next owl was to his best mate, telling him that if he wanted to meet up at the Three Broomsticks, he'd be there with Alicia. Jack dried his hair, and got dressed in a black sweater and faded jeans. Dabbing some cologne onto his neck, he combed his hair out of his eyes and then threw a his jacket over his shoulder. Grabbing his wand, he checked the time and noted that he still had a good fifteen minutes before he had to be at the Three Broomsticks. So, he galloped down the stairs onto the second floor of his parents house, then down to the kitchen. His dad was drinking coffee and reading a book chronicling the life of some wizard.
"Dad, I've got the papers for the flat. I'm going to meet Alicia at the Three Broomsticks and hopefully Stephen will meet up with us," Jack never understood why he summarized his evenings for his dad, probably to prove that he was trying to be responsible. He hoped it worked. His dad grunted from behind his book and Jack snickered, "Alright old man, I'm out--" He picked up a cookie that his mum had baked earlier and shoved it in his mouth, then made his way towards the lobby of the house. From there he apparated to Hogsmeade and appeared moments later down the road from the Three Broomsticks.
Walking towards the bar, he pulled open the front door and was immersed by the warmth of its insides. It was early, but there seemed to be plenty of people occupying the spaces around. Jack went up to the bar and ordered a pint, then went over to an empty table to wait for Alicia. His eyes scanned the room, there never seemed to be many young girls at the Three Broomsticks; thus making Jack wish Alicia were there even more. He'd always thought she was cute, but she was his friend and he couldn't think of her in any other light.
