WHO: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger WHEN: Noon (afternoon as well) on February 17th WHERE: Diagon Alley SUMMARY: Lunch and an afternoon out with our favourite couple RATING: PG? WARNING(S): Fluff? STATUS: Complete
As soon as Hermione had suggested they see each other through the journals, Ron had jumped at the chance. He really did miss not being able to see her everyday and with his Auror training being so demanding during the week, weeknights most of the time were out of the question unless it was a quick visit or just to relax. So, seeing as it was the weekend now and he didn't have any plans except for lounging around in his flat and doing just about nothing, he was quick to suggest an afternoon out with his girlfriend.
It was a still a bit odd for them to have a quiet afternoon out without the shadow of doom looming over their shoulders or having to look behind them at every step. It was a welcomed change, of course, but still a strange one. After almost a lifetime of chaos and insanity, it was nice to be able to live normally without worry and doubt but a little hard to get used to.
Ron was definitely not reluctant to get an entire afternoon alone with Hermione. Any time he had with her was a blessing, really, with their busy schedules and well, the fact that he just loved being with her so much. He never thought he could be so entirely in love with someone but here he was, knowing full well with his entire heart that he'd never love anyone like he loved Hermione. He was planning on asking her to move in with him at some point soon, he wanted to be around her all the time. Hell, after so many years of the two of them dancing around their feelings, he never wanted to let her go. They often spent the night at each other's flats anyhow, just sleeping, because since the war, Ron always slept better with Hermione next to him anyhow.
At precisely 12:00, Ron apparated to Hermione's building and quickly made his way to her flat, stopping outside her door to know, the wards all of them had on their flats preventing them from apparating directly in. A smile on his face, he waited for her to answer, calling out to her as he did, "Hermione, it's me! Put down whatever book you're reading and let me in, yeah?" He grinned as he teased her, rocking back and forth on his heels as he waited.
