I definitely think Hermione's reaction there at the end could have come about from a myriad of reasons, angry with herself at what happened, angry with Ron for coming back like it was nbd, angry with Harry because she wanted him so badly to be happy again and but it was Ron coming back that did it--I don't know, I think there's a thousand possibilities including the one you mentioned so I like it that it's sort of up in the air--if Hermione is even aware of why she's doing what she's doing, you know? Even back when I read DH originally and got to that scene, I thought it was so interesting how she reacted there and always wanted to explore it, so now I finally had an excuse to, lol. ANYWAY, BABBLING. I'm glad you can see how this could set up a future where she would be weakened to James' charms. Thanks so much and again for reading it over first and giving me feedback! <3
