Wilbur nodded. He liked his job well enough, as much as anyone could like a job, but it had funny hours. Wilbur raised his eyebrows when she suggested moving in, and he finished his mouthful of pizza before he answered.
"Yeah, sure," Wilbur said easy-as-you-please, "I ain't got no issue with that. I reckon Sadie might not like it, though. She's been a lil' jittery lately. Always looking at th'door anytime folks come into th'diner."
At first he thought it was him making her nervous, but it was clear Sadie was on edge about something. Wilbur didn't think it was his business to pry, either, but maybe Nancy had some insight. Much as he might enjoy living with Nancy, he drew the line at having Sadie as a roommate as well. That just seemed like a recipe for disaster.
