He really did have a tremendously clever wife. The past several days had been filled with a low-level irritation at just about everything, increasingly apologetic owls from a still-panicked Potter, and a couple of 'invitations' to Hermione from the Ministry. Draco had taken to obsessively tracing the boundaries of the Grange, whether on foot or on his broom, every spare moment he had.
His very clever wife had, not an hour before, figured out a solution and tracked him down just beyond the orchard. She had a blanket, her cuffs, and one of his favorite pairs of boots. She'd surrendered to him, given him the control he needed. Now, as he finally managed to regain his breath and find the ability to move, he felt far less angry and frustrated.
Draco propped up on his elbow beside Hermione, smiling at her as he plucked a fallen leaf out of her extra-messy curls. He bent to kiss the back of her neck and stroked down her spine. Watching her slowly come back to herself after an intense session was always fascinating to him. He'd already taken care of the stickies for her, and he talked to her quietly as she drifted back up, giving her the soft praises she loved to hear and he loved saying. "Hi, pet," he murmured when she opened her eyes and looked at him. "Thank you."
