RP: I just need to see you Date: August 11th, 2000 Characters: James and Lily Location: Dursley Home Warnings: None yet Public/Private: Public Summary: James realizes that he has been so absorped in his work lately that he hasn't made time for Lily. Thus, he's on his way to change that. Status: Incomplete
James had been completely engrossed in his upcoming mission that he had spent very little time with Lily or Harry in the past few weeks. It hadn't been out of lack of desire, as they were all he thought about outside of the mission. They were his entire reason for agreeing to go undercover, for even suggesting it, as he wanted nothing more then to be able to walk freely with Lily in both worlds. He hoped this was his ticket to that dream.
And in his attempts to achieve this goal, he became quite obsessive. He studied for hours on end and got even less sleep then he had been prior to this undercover assignment. He had only truly been able to spare Harry's birthday dinner for a social event and as he looked at his calender in his home, he felt his stomach turn out of sheer guilt. Sure he had seen them both, but it was very minimal visits, with promises to see them soon.
It occurred to him that once he began this assignment, truly went undercover in the muggle world, it'd be even longer before he saw them again. Feeling the guilt rise up in him, he abandoned the textbook he was flipping through, moving to grab his travel robes. He pulled them on as he headed out the door in a dash.
When he arrived on Lily's doorstep, he mentally hoped that it was only her home. He could have contacted her and asked for her to visit his flat, but he had felt a sense of urgency, so the only real solution seemed to come to her. He knocked on the wooden door and continued to hope for her being the only resident home, or at the very least, the one to answer the door. He really didn't fancy a run in with Vernon this evening.
