Evan nodded with a smirk. "I couldn't have said it better myself," he said, appreciating the man's prospective. "Falling for deceit and lies even if it's printed on paper doesn't exactly work for me. I happen to like having the truth said to me and believing in that alone."
"Magic is power. Magic is just an illusion," he said, "Numbers... well numbers can't be just an illusion can they? Numbers can't be forged, not if they are physical." It seemed to be strange to be saying that, but it felt right at the same time. It could be worse. He could be just saying loudly that he was a member of PAM, but he kept it behind his tongue, knowing better than that. The only people you intentionally spoke about PAM to and in front of was other members of PAM. As for as he knew, Aleksei wasn't a member of PAM and he would like to think he knew every member of PAM - at least every official member.
"It's nice to meet you as well. You will see me again," he said with a small smile before he turned back to the bookshelf and look at the horrible display of papers they claim to be literature. Pretending to be browsing was an easy to way for people not to suspect he and the man to have been talking about anything that wasn't strictly allowed.
