Jocelyn just got off work at Agatha's, quickly went home to only change who she was. Turning from Shelby to Jocelyn, she decided her brunette self - her real self - needed some time out. Tonight was her night off at Soba and she was planning on just spending a lazy afternoon out in the park near her place. She was already wearing muggle clothes, seeing how Agatha was under the impression Shelby was a muggle and she had no intention of setting her straight at least not yet, so she just grabbed her purse, a nice book, and threw her hair up. It was a hot day, slightly muggy, and she didn't relish the idea of being out in the sun with her hair clinging to her neck with from sweat. But lord knew she needed some sun. She felt rather pale as of late, even though she was fair skinned. Before she let she cast a quick charm on herself to prevent a sunburn that her mother had taught her. Her mother, too, was fair skinned and both easily burnt in the sun rather than tanned and while Jocelyn could technically change her skin tone, her skin was still sunburned beneath the false color.
Walking two blocks from her flat, she went to the park, wishing she'd thought to bring a blanket and then just shrugged. What did she care if she sat on the grass? It wasn't muddy and she could easily just change her clothes at home. Settling herself beneath the shade of a large tree, she leaned against its trunk and opened her book. The sounds of the playground nearby, including the basketball court that adults were known to play on when the kids weren't use it, was like music this afternoon with children laughing, screaming with delight, and the sounds of the playground equipment in use as parents and babysitters watched on, some gossiping to one another. The sun was bright, the air only slightly muggy though didn't feel as though there was rain on the way and people were just out enjoying it like she was. It rained too much in England sometimes to Jocelyn, but then again, she was known to just take a walk in the rain for the fun of it, just to unwind and relax. Every time she heard someone knew her, she would glance over the top of her book and make sure that not only was everything okay but that no one was talking to her. But after twenty minutes she was engrossed in her novel to even notice the music like sounds from the playground.
