Mandy giggled. "Well, you can't blame a father for being protective and wanting his daughter safe, can you?" she asked with a smile. She missed seeing her dad as much as she used to. It was hard balancing herself in both worlds and more and more, especially with her job, she found herself drifting deeper into the magical world and away from the muggle one where her father strictly was allowed in.
Sobering, she placed her elbows on the counter in front of her and leaned forward. "So, you know how I bought those Tarot cards? Well, any novice knows that you can't read your own fortune for yourself. And while I am definitely a novice, I still tried. And I came up blank, of course. So, I was wondering, can I pay for a reading from you to get answers I seek?"
