Mandy tilted her head to the side at his explanation of why he'd ignore his mail. He was avoiding mail from his fiance? It seemed odd to her, but it really wasn't any of her business. Just like the fact Zacharias clearly liked said fiance and would probably be delighted to read flowering words on pink stationary from the pureblood witch. Keeping all that behind her tongue, she shrugged. "I don't get much mail to ignore thankfully."
She smiled. "Thank you. I do try, but I have a mean streak in me, that's for sure." She thought of the ice cold shoulder she was giving Zacharias at work, ignoring him completely and literally running away from him. She knew it might even be easier to just confront him than to avoid him, but he'd hurt her badly that night and she just couldn't seem to face him yet. She'd baked and brought the brownies in she'd promised him already, charming them to remain fresh until they made up as friends or forever, whichever came first.
How much Theodore didn't know about her amused her for a moment. "I can't cook. I can bake some, but I can't cook. And while I don't mind being around it or anything, I don't think I could stomach having to work with meat as a career. I mean, even in culinary school, you have to at least learn to cook meat." She smiled. "Romantic? You think? I guess so. I'm a bit of romantic or idealistic, honestly, and I know it. Compared to the other trainers, I promise seem like a faraway geek when I get engrossed in just watching the creature's beauty from time to time. Why would you envy me for finding something I love, don't you love your work?"
