Mandy was just scribbling down that she needed bread when a very small, barely noticeable shadow cast over her table unexpectedly. She glanced up, only having written 'br' down when she saw Theodore standing there. Instantly, a smile appeared on her face that was genuine and a feeling of actual happiness to see him came to her. It wasn't that she expected them to be friends, or even expected him to like her in the least bit. But she had liked him. He'd made her fell more welcome at the gala during their first meeting than Zacharias had, and she knew that was pathetic. Purposely, she'd been ignoring and avoiding Zacharias at work, even occasionally leaving an area when she saw him heading that way.
