Ismene Selwyn-Prideaux generally disliked most people, and it showed on her face. Today, the usual boredom that clouded her expression was replaced with ire--the sort that could burn a hole in anything by just looking at it too long--and she was walking more briskly than usual. That was because, today, she hated all people. Even the ones related to her, but mostly because this was their fault. They couldn't bloody well get it through their skulls that she wasn't feeling marriage pangs. In fact, wedding bells made her ill to her stomach, but that wasn't stopping them from continuously forcing the issue of her betrothal.
Finding a cafe that made real food rather than pastries, Ismene stormed into it and marched to the counter. She ordered her food, something that looked like it may resemble a panini, and her tea with a glare. Turning with her number in hand, she leveled the very same glare at the entire dining area, and in an act that was malicious if anything, decided to destroy the place's lively mood by taking her seat at the center-most table inside--outside seating be damned, it was hot.
