"Wait a minute," Harry said quietly, then cleared his throat. "Why can't you talk in front of me?" He demanded, sounding more firm. "I'm not a little kid with delicate ears that has to be protected." Anger began to replace some of the shock and he stood up, narrowed green eyes glaring from one parent to the other. "It's a little late for being inconspicuous, don't you think?"
