Katie was used to very different owls from Cormac. Generally though, she knew what he talking about. Even if he was vague about something, she still had an idea what was going on. She had read this owl over and over since she had gotten in and she couldn't wrap her mind around it. He was angry clearly but she had no idea why. She was his next victim? What did that mean? What did it have to do with Oliver. She hadn't written a story about Cormac. What could she really write? The only sensational thing about Cormac's goings on involved her right now and she really doubted that anyone would care.
The last bit of it was easy enough to understand. He wanted her to get rid of the ring so they weren't going through with this arrangement...She felt disappointment. She wasn't sure about the whole of the situation and was nervous about possibly being Mrs. McLaggen but she hadn't really considered going back on it. If she did she wouldn't have told him over and owl! He was accusing her of something without even telling her what it was. She knew he didn't have experience with relationships but did he really think this was how you dumped someone? Make them the enemy? Was their friendship worth nothing more?
Of course she was going to reply. How could she not?
Cormac,
What the hell are you talking about? You're not my victim and I don't appreciate being cursed at without even know why. Who are you talking about that you might have been in love with? Did I kiss a girl of yours or something? I haven't even been with anyone recently and I know you aren't talking about Demelza.
You're making no sense. You're throwing away our friendship? Really? If you wanted to end this at least have the balls to do it to my face.
