RP: though your lips are smiling I can see the coldness in your eyes Date: July 18, 2001 Characters: Astoria and Cormac Location: Eiffel Tower, Paris, France Public/Private: Private Summary: It's the greatly anticipated Eiffel Tower ditch. Status: Complete
Cormac was glad when Astoria had agreed to come to Paris with him. As friends, of course. Since, according to her that's all they were. He wasn't sure what they were to him anymore. He was on a vacation with a beautiful, vibriant woman that he found engaging and enchanting. He could be having fun. But something was off. As they strode up the sidewalk toward the Eiffel Tower where they had planned to eat, he felt like Astoria was being too quiet. She was normally talkative and loved to tease him. She wasn't. Was it because they were alone in France together? They had separate hotel rooms, so it wasn't like he was adding to the pressure. Not that they hadn't already slept together. Once. Well, twice in one night.
He'd tried to be a gentleman, trying to not even bring up the fact she's slept with him. She seemed to not want to be touched, so he didn't touch her. She was quiet, so he was quiet. He wasn't even trying to ramble on and on about nothing to feel the silence. Instead, he just allowed them to be in an agreement silence that rarely happened.
He looked around himself, looking at the street. It was quite beautiful. It had a different charm than London had. It was Paris, after all, the city for lovers or whatever it was called.
