Demelza shook her head. "Not something you normally do? You don't normally speak to friends then?" she asked, confused. She didn't care if Katie was embarrassed or nervous. The fact Katie was just here was throwing her off guard and her first instinct was always the defensive.
She looked at Katie like she'd lost her mind now. "What? I did good? It was very... lovely?" She threw up her hand and then shook her head, turning away. "I have to get back to work. I hope you and... your friend enjoy the rest of your evening."
