Katie looked over to him. "I was just asking!" she replied, a little defensively. Out of the two of them, she thought that maybe he did know how to read those things better then hers. She didn't even know what to think. She was was still reeling from all this.
"Fine," she said after a moment, standing up just to make her point. "I will ask her."
She walked off towards the backstage door. Though as she drew closer, she slowed and felt more self conscious. This was insane. What was she doing? She didn't have any right to ask Demelza anything. It was too late for her to turn around though as the bouncer at the door had spotted her. She took a deep breath. "I-I wanted to know if you could get Demelza for me. I'm a friend. Katie. She'll know me. I just need to speak with her."
