Katie looked back up at Demelza. She was beautiful up there. Probably what bothered Katie all the more was that there wasn't some kind of connection. She couldn't even say to herself that Demelza was dancing for her. She was dancing for the whole of the room, she didn't even know Katie was there. It was just a little depressing and defeating. She did like this girl and she felt like she was just putting her interests that was something completely unattainable.
"I'm not dating her so now I know before hand two," she replied, looking over to him and sticking out her tongue. "Besides, it's not like there's anything between us. Me wanting it and it happening are different things."
She leaned back and let out a small side. She knew what she had said but she couldn't get her legs to move right now. "I already paid for my drink," she said as an excuse.
