Evan shrugged his shoulders with a smirk. In all honestly, he had hated it that John had left. He'd felt deserted then, but not now. Now he hated John. He wanted nothing more than to lift the little status that kept everyone from touching John that the old leaders had placed on him when he left for whatever reason they had. He hadn't been giving a reason, just an order. And he had too much respect in authority - even past authority - to do anything about it now. At least not so far. "Better to be full of shit than to pretend to be some fucking martyr when no one cares anymore."
He smirked. "Oh really? How much do you really believe she won't lie to you?" He stepped toward John, lowering his voice which was now saturated with amusement. "We broke our deal. But how about we have a friendly bet? I don't really care of the terms. How about we see just how much she tells you, just how honest she is? How about it or are you afraid being proven wrong?"
