Daphne laughed again at Astoria's reaction. She was trying so hard to act like it didn't matter to her when it clearly did. Astoria had a way to be easy to read when she let her guard down. It was a bit sad, but she wasn't sure if it was just around her family or everyone. She sobered again and smirked. "Oh, Stori, swooning isn't bad now and then. Men like to feel like they're irresistible. It boosts their ego. Even if it's a lie. Swooning is something just the right thing to do to get particular men in bed. Or a particular boy, depending on your taste for the evening," she said with a shrug. She'd played the swooning girl before, tittering over how 'great' a man was when she realize that's what it would take. "It's in my circle. It's not like... Well." She paused, sobering completely and biting her lip as she looked at her sister. For the moment, she actually looked uncertain. Daphne lied only to those who were she didn't like or had wronged her. Astoria wasn't either. She didn't want to lie to her right now. "Yeah, he has game, okay? He's never tried in on me, though. Like I said, the dumb jock doesn't do it for me even if it's a pretty boy so I wouldn't know personally. Maybe I should find him later and find out... just to turn him down and hex his balls off instead." She smirked at Astoria.
She laughed, grinning. "Exactly! He's an idiot and he's a prick and he's wrong. It's a cold comfort, but it's something until you can exact your revenge," she said with a smirk. She shrugged. "Just consider it a lost weekend. Everyone can have a few. Or more," she said, meaning it. "But you do know what the best cure for a hangover is, don't you?" She smirked. "It's more alcohol!" She dropped the subject of what Astoria would do. She trusted Astoria to make the right decision and then tell Daphne later. She couldn't imagine Astoria starting to tell her only the first half of the story and skip the good part.
