Astoria didn't know what Daphne found so amusing but she glared. She wasn't surprised, really. It was part of Daphne's "charm" to find amusement in others' misfortunes. The truth was that Astoria had been swayed by his words and his charms when she really should have known better. She snorted. "I don't swoon. That's disgusting. And I'm sure his game is just fine if he's managed to build that reputation." She'd never actually doubted his ability to get a woman into bed, she'd just never thought his skills would actually work on her. It was embarrassing to know that she'd fallen for it. She nodded at Daphne's words. There wasn't anything else to say. Her sister was right -- Cormac didn't deserve her.
A smile tugged at her lips. At least Daphne was funny. "Of course he doesn't. He's an idiot." What kind of fool messed around with his fiancee's former coworker anyway? That was just asking for trouble in Astoria's opinion. "I've drank enough in the past 48 hours to label me an alcoholic. This has to be my last." It probably wouldn't be but the insistence made it somewhat better, right? "I'm not sure yet. I've got to think on it." She shrugged. She wasn't completely ready for that step yet.
