Astoria rolled her eyes. "He wasn't whispering sweet nothings in my ear either." She felt like she needed to make that clear. If she kept telling herself that there had been nothing more between then maybe it would suddenly be true. At least Daphne hadn't caught on to the fact that Astoria was more than angry, she was hurt. It had always been easy for her hide everything behind anger when she couldn't keep her emotions in check.
