Daphne smirked at Astoria. Of course, she didn't want to go anywhere with McLaggen, but she still should. Betrayal and lies deserved some deception for some well-planned and well-placed revenge in Daphne's mind. She truly believed in the saying "turnabout is fair play." If someone screwed Daphne then she'd screw them right back - and worse. So much worse. She had no shame in how her mind worked and in fact, it'd always worked for her in the past. "Stori, what's better than leaving him there in some foreign country when you walk away with some hot Frenchmen? He deserves worse for using you, but it's a start. And anyway--" She waved her hand dismissively. "--He's a wizard so it's not like guilt can tell you you're actually abandoning him there. He'll tuck his fucking tail between his legs and sulk back home."
She wanted to laugh at Astoria's reaction of her blush. She'd just revealed that she'd fucked an engaged guy, unknowingly or not, so how can she pretend to be a prude for even a second? "That's what I heard," she said with a thoughtful tone on McLaggen's status in bed. She sighed, hopping on the counter and looking at her sister. She wasn't sure what to say. Daphne wasn't the best adviser at all. She had the mindset of they fuck you, you fuck them right back. Astoria didn't seem to like that idea which left Daphne at a loss as to what to actually tell her. "At least you have a memory of a good fuck?" she suggested, trying not to be patronizing or dismissive now. "And you had a choice. Your choice was whether to trust him enough to fuck him. For whatever reason, you decided that you did. You had a choice and you made your choice. Unfortunately, you weren't informed before you did. That is not your fault. That is the prick's. Don't beat yourself up over it, Astoria. It will get you nowhere. Now, revenge? Revenge will get you somewhere which is feeling very satisfied."
She laughed. She didn't mean to. She really didn't, but the laughter at least wasn't cruel or cold to Astoria. "You? A whore? Or a homewrecker? Really? You've been drinking too much. Unfortunately, married and engaged guys fuck around all the time. It's not always the woman's fault on either side. Guys are pricks. All they are good for are their pricks," she stated with a smirk. "And trust me, you will not be the Greengrass daughter who will be labeled a whore or a homewrecker first. I took that honor without you or anyone else knowing a long time ago. And I'm not ashamed of it." She hopped off the counter again with a smirk. "Alcohol? We don't even have to toast to the whore, womanizing McLaggen? We can toast to.. knowledge or something."
