Astoria shrugged though it took some effort to remain calm and collected. Maybe it was because she'd spent so much time around house elves but she didn't find them creepy at all. She wondered what Katie meant in saying that there was time but she couldn't bring herself to ask. Did she really want to know anyway? Any more information would just torture Astoria. "You'll be fine," she promised purposefully, though the conviction in her voice was due to her anger more than anything else. Cormac was a bastard and Katie was an idiot for playing along.
She almost felt bad, seeing Katie's frown. But she wasn't the one in the wrong here. Immediately, Astoria shut out any pity she might have felt for her. There was no way in hell she was getting together with Katie. Ever. She smiled at the other woman, the same polite smile she gave to everyone who didn't have a place in her life. "We should. It was nice seeing you too," she replied as she got up from her seat. She only managed to take a few, short steps before turning around again. "Katie?" Astoria said, trying to get her attention. "I think you two will be happy," she said, smiling once again, although there was no happiness behind it. Once her back was to Katie, she glared and headed for the door.
As far as Astoria was concerned, they sure as hell deserved.
