Astoria nodded at Katie's words. She really hated that they made any sense. There was an anger starting to build within her and she barely paid attention to the rest of what Katie said. She was grateful that she'd managed to catch the last bit so that she could respond coherently. "Everyone has to learn to play that role, even girls like me. I think you'll be alright. House elves are kind of cute after a while too." She smiled at Katie as if she actually believed her words, trying to reassure her.
She glanced at a clock behind the bar, as if time mattered at all, and sighed. "I'm sorry to cut the conversation short but I'm supposed be making my sister dinner," she said apologetically. It was a complete lie but she needed to get out of there. She couldn't stand to look at Katie or her ring knowing what she knew now. It made her feel sick.
