Teagan smiled fondly at him. "I did notice. And anyway, if you hadn't tried than I would have to kill you and then... then what would I do? Not only am I not cut out for prison, but I'd miss you," she said playfully.
She laughed when he stuck her tongue out of him. It was one of the things she liked most about John. He did things that she could barely believe an adult doing and it didn't make him seem childish. In fact, quite the opposite. And it made her laugh. "I'm a woman... so no, I can't," she said, grinning at him.
"Okay," she replied, suppressing her own laugh. He really didn't have to make fun of her, but she didn't think he was really. Not maliciously at least. It was all in fun. She poked him in the side, gently. "Why do you always do? Why do you always avoid a question and pretend like I'm too stupid to notice that you did?" she asked, unable to actually be mad at him. "Why did you do to me?" she repeated, trying to make sure he knew she really wanted him answer.
