John held up his hands in surrender. She was steadfast and stubborn and he knew that there were some things that were worth arguing and fighting for and some things that were not. "Whatever is important to you, is important to me and yes, your opinion in this has more weight then mine I suppose," he replied with a grin. He was pleased that she cared enough to want for him when it was something that hurt her. He knew that it hurt her. He didn't like that idea. This was a fun act. It really was. Maybe he could have done things better. Maybe he could have worked her up a bit more that she was begging for it, really begging for it.
"Yes, you're a good woman for not assuming but I am telling you, don't worry. You're an exception and you're welcome to stay. Feel special."
When moved towards him, opened the blanket and wrapped her arms around him, he smiled. It was a warm, fond smile. He wrapped his arms around her in return to hold her close. "It's perfectly fine. We've already crossed this line, what more can I do to you? I promise," he said as he pulled back just enough to look at her. "this is okay."
