Teagan shook her head. "That's not the point! The point is, John, you're not my knight in shining armor and I sure as hell don't what you or any other guy to me. I don't need saving. I can take care of myself. I don't need you to make decisions for me. I don't want you to. I have my own mind and I can use it to take care of myself!" she said, feeling frustrated. He was rambling a little and she had a hard time following what he really meant, but thought she got the point at least.
Her eyes flashed at him when he actually angry at her. What he hell did she say that deserved his anger? That she actually cared what happened to him? Well, it wasn't like she was the one who was going around making deals that concerned him without his knowledge. She shook her head. "Hey, John. Everyone needs someone to care what happens to me! You're not immune to that. But if you don't it to me, that's fine."
She was moving back when he finally answered her question. She blinked, confused but still knowing that was all she needed to hear. She didn't expect or want any in depth emotional revelations from John and herself. Neither were the type. It's partly how they worked so well together as friends. When he kissed her, her hands still gripped his shirt and she didn't kiss him back. Instead the moment he pulled back to whisper against her lips, she used the shirt she was holding to shove him backward and put space between them as she glared at him.
