Astoria smiled sweetly, though there was obviously a smirk trying to push through. She would blame it on him, her sudden penchant for smirking. She could kill him for that alone. "I suppose you'll just have to wait and see," she said with a small shrug. There was a devious look in her eyes. She was having too much. "Iolanthe. It's actually an opera. I didn't find that out until years later," Astoria said. His curiosity was actually a little surprising. She hadn't expected Cormac to want to hear about it, which is why she'd left it in vague terms.
"Well, I wouldn't want that," she replied, laughing as well. She really wouldn't want that. Astoria grinned at his response. "I'm glad." The fact that he admitted to being excited just made things a little more interesting. She liked the way he was playing with her hair so gently. She smiled at him, wishing they could just throw caution to the wind in that moment. There was nothing Astoria wanted more than to be wrapped up in his arms, kissing him.
She grinned. "I'll keep reminding you until you do remember," Astoria promised. She had only really mentioned it because he'd brought it up. And it was always amusing to see Cormac's reaction when he was so stubborn himself. Astoria laughed. "I'm glad you care of enough to make sure I haven't gone mad. I appreciate it," she teased. Part of her wanted to think he really did care but that was exactly the type of thinking she was supposed to be avoiding.
Cormac's words didn't sound too genuine. Astoria wondered what was on his mind just then. She bit her lower lip, trying to decide whether or not it'd be a good idea to ask. His reaction made her wonder how he felt exactly and it made her more confused than ever. Despite everything, it also gave her a little hope that Astoria knew she had to stamp out before it got dangerous. "Or we could toast to something else?" she suggested after a short moment of silence. He would probably dodge the question somehow and she'd never get the answers she wanted and needed. It was a disappointing thought but she only had herself to blame for expecting anymore than that. She grinned at his words, not surprised that Cormac would be so confident in his choice. "I never doubted you," she responded. "And my approval is very important."
