Octavius had gone early to meet to train for it's arrival. There really wasn't a point or advantage to that. Either way, he would see his daughter but he was just so anxious! He wasn't a man to hide his feelings. He was excited to see his daughter and he didn't care what anyone thought of that. He was already considered an oddball of sorts. Being a caring father hardly hurt his image.
When the train pulled up, Octavius felt and anxiousness grow in his chest as he waited for the doors to the train to open and his daughter to come out. He smiled widely when he spotted her just before she began to run to him. He wrapped his arms around her as she threw herself at him. He held onto his daughter tightly, enjoying the physical contact that had been lacking in the past months.
He pulled back and looked her over. "Compared to having you home, my birthday is the last thing on my mind. Though it has been a good one so far and I thank you, Di."
