Teagan laughed. "If you weren't gay and in love, I'd say that was one hell of a cheesy line," she teased, "But at least you didn't suggest going somewhere 'more private'." It was clear she thought it was good joke rather than serious. She appreciated the sentiment behind his words and was surprised, considering what she knew of him tonight, that she felt the same way. Sam was one of the good ones, even if those he associated with weren't always. "But yeah, sure. You say that now... but when you do get to know be more, you'd be screaming for the hills like the rest of them." Despite her amused voice, there was a bit of resentment not hidden well enough behind the words 'like the rest of them'.
She snorted. She knew it wasn't funny, but for some reason, it was. She wasn't going to judge Sam solely on his activity or involvement with PAM. It wasn't fair; it wasn't all who he was. There were some members of PAM that it was all they were, but not him. It was easy to see that. "Well, aren't we all a little different with people we love and care about than people we don't? No one is the same in that way with everyone," she said with a smile. "Thank you for admitting it." She raised her glass. "I toast to you for admitting you're not perfect and wanted the man you love to miss you as much as you missed him. I just would find it curious to find out who really missed each other more."
