Evan nodded, glad for Sam's quick agreement on the matter. Sam could be easily read by Evan when he wasn't paying attention to what information he was giving off in the first place. Sometimes it caused problems, but mostly, it helped keep them honest when they didn't want to be honest with each other. Right now, he was sure that Sam was being pretty honest. Maybe there was a part of the man who actually did want a real relationship right now, but he certainly didn't seem ready to jump into anything. "I'm not a good friend. Don't say that. That's gonna ruin my image!" he cried out, pretending to be outraged and hurt. "I just want to meet him for my own amusement or didn't you know? It's for me, not you."
"Tonight... I guess your hot date stood you up or canceled on you so you'll settle for me, right?" he asked with a smirk. "I'm the consolation prize!"
