Evan shrugged. "Maybe. Maybe not. I think simply being stared at or checked out is it's own validation. I don't need to actually hear the words, you know," he said with a smirk.
He frowned slightly and shook his head. "I don't mean it like that," he said, sincerely. "I just mean that my first instinct isn't to comfort or understand. I fuck, not love. I can't get behind a committed relationship so I really can't sympathize. I'd rather just get someone laid or drunk instead. Moving right on to the next relationship." When he finished, he smirked.
"Kurt might want to fight you for that one," he joked, "But fine. You can be my best mate as long as you don't go telling everyone and getting Kurt or someone else jealous."
The smile dropped from his face as he looked at Sam. "He was in PAM. We grew up around each other, around PAM. He even knew my brother Elliot who was before your time, too," he said, "But he got bit by a werewolf. He was kicked out of PAM, but the people in control at PAM at the time gave him a free pass. They made him untouchable. I really wished I could have done something. We were close... and then he became what I hated."
