Evan laughed. "Full of bullshit? How so? I know I look good, and that's not bullshit," he said with a smirk. "Ah, Sam, you're a very handsome guy. If I were gay or interested in trying it out for a night, I'd be all over you."
He grinned. "You don't need me to fight your battles, I know, but if you ever change your mind, I'm more than willing," he said, "I like beating people up especially for a reason to. Just be careful who you say you love next. I don't know how to deal with someone being all mopey and heartbroken. I tend to just want someone to suck it up."
He shrugged. "I guess I'm just taking the whole thing personal. The girl got on my nerves and John... well." He shrugged again, not sure if he should get into his history with John. He was sure he'd never told Sam about all of it before. It was complicated.
"I didn't say you weren't my friend. I said who said you were my best friend," Evan pointed out with a grin at Sam's pout.
